Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
We respect others, ensuring that every child has the right to learn and every teacher has the right to teach.
Next week’s school target is to remember to use the playtime behaviour code.
We have now added the Learning Review (Parent Consultation) dates to the school calendar. These will take place on Tue 20th and Wed 21st November. These are a little later than usual because our teachers are trailing new assessment tests this term and will need a little longer to validate the results. We will email shortly with details of how to book an appointment.
Thank you to everyone who attended the PTA meeting on Wednesday. It was great to see people there, and we have identified several events that will take place throughout the year. This term, there will be a UV disco for children on 7th November, a ‘Gingo’ (Gin & Bingo) evening for parents on Friday 23rd November, and the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 1st December.
Many thanks to the people who took aerial photos for us. We now have some lovely images that we will use for publicity purposes.
We are having a Mental Health awareness day on Wednesday 10th October. This is purely to raise awareness amongst children and their families, and we will not be doing a charitable collection. Children are invited to have something blue on that day – it may be an item of clothing, or hair bobble, or shoe lace etc (and doesn’t need to be full non-uniform).
Harvest Service on Monday 15th October, children can bring along food donations (which they can easily carry) to take to Church, items that can be stored easily for example cereals, rice, pasta, tinned food. The donations will be added to the Church collection for distribution.
Many thanks to everyone who attended the MacMillan Coffee Afternoon last week, it was a great success, we raised £850 and really just couldn’t have done it without you! We are very proud of the children they put a lot of time and effort it and were great hosts on the day.
Message from your local Youth Club.
