Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
We are central and valued within the community and the community is an extension of life in school.
Next week’s school target is to dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
Welcome back to a new school year! We have been incredibly impressed with the way that all children have come back to school looking smart, rested and eager to learn. We are all looking forward to another great year.
Please send your child with a coat every day, the weather is changing and they will still be playing outside. Don’t forget to put their name in them.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the Parents’ Survey last term. The results have now been compiled and governors are looking at them in the coming weeks. We hope to share headline information with you before half term.
Have you seen our amazing new artwork? At the end of last year, Mrs Alderson organised an art project which involved every child in the school. This resulted in a set of wall hangings that represent each aspect of the creation story, and these are now in place in the school hall. We are absolutely thrilled with the results – do come and see for yourself!
Congratulations to Ms Plunkett who was married during the summer holidays and is now Mrs Buckley.
Over the next few weeks we will introduce children to the Fish! Philosophy: 1. Choose your attitude, 2. Be Present, 3. Make someone’s day, 4. Have fun! We believe that this will help to maintain the positivity that we generate at our school.
Next week, our Year 6 pupils will have their residential visit to Robinwood. Mrs Law, Mrs Tate and the class will be away from school from Mon – Wed.
The PTA AGM will be held on Wednesday 3rd October at 7pm in the Year 6 room. This is where the officers of the PTA will be elected, and several previous officers are not standing for election. This is a great opportunity to shape the way the committee moves forward and continues to do important work for our school. Please come along to the meeting, even if you do not feel able to stand for election – everyone is welcome!
