Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
All staff are highly valued, highly motivated and part of a supportive, professional team.
Next week’s school target is to remember to respect everyone and keep your hands to yourself.
We always try to get things right in school, and are proud that most of the time we do. Occasionally, though, things do go wrong. If you have a concern please raise it with your child’s teacher in the first instance. If the issue is still not resolved you are able to raise a complaint by filling in the form that is in the policies section of our website. Please be assured that we take these very seriously and do all we can to reach a positive resolution.
Don’t forget that learning review meetings take place next week. These are the opportunity for you to discuss your child’s learning and progress so far this term. It would be really helpful if you could keep to allocated times to help teachers maintain their appointments. Should you wish a longer appointment to continue the conversation, teachers will be able to arrange with you for a separate time. Pupils do not attend this meeting, it’s for parents only. Thank you.
We know that there is not enough time to look at your child’s work during learning review meetings, so we make this available to you at Open Classrooms. This will take place from 3.30pm – 5pm on Wednesday 5th December. This gives you the opportunity to look at work with your child, and class teachers will be on hand to answer questions or provide clarification about the work that has been done.
Safeguarding is extremely important to us, and we work hard to ensure that children are kept safe at all times. Our policy explains how we do this. This, along with other policies, can be found on our website. If you have a concern about a child you can raise it with Mr Weights, who is the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Tickets are still on sale for the GINGO evening, £6 per ticket includes prize bingo, licensed bar and light supper. You can purchase your ticket on ParentPay, they will also be on sale in the playground tonight (16th Nov) at the end of school.
If anyone has anything they could donate for the forthcoming Christmas Fayre could you please leave it in the box in the school entrance, for example, wine, tombola and items for raffle prizes. Thank you for your support.
Please remember when parking to not obstruct peoples driveway’s, junctions etc. We understand it is a busy time at the start and end of each day but residents still need to be able to access their own drive. Thank you.
If you have any good quality used uniform that no longer fits then feel free donate it to school, one of our parents is collecting it all and will do a stall later in the year. Please just leave it with the office. Thank you!
