Next week’s school target is – Remember to go to the toilet at the start or end of break.
Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
Parents and carers are welcome partners and their contributions are encouraged and valued.
Our top attendees this week are Reception and Year 5 both with 100% attendance. Well done!
There is some illness in school at the moment and we are very keen to reduce the risk of infection. You can help us by ensuring that your child remains off school for 48 hours after they have been sick, even if this occurs at the weekend. The medical advice we have received indicates that this helps to prevent them from passing the illness to other children.
To help us to celebrate Easter, we are inviting all children to decorate a hard-boiled egg at home and bring it into school on Monday 3rd April. We will display all entries in the hall and parents are invited to come and have a look at them after school. There will be prizes for the children’s best creations – so get cracking with your creations!
Don’t forget to dress in something red for Comic Relief next Friday and bring a donation of change for our collection. The charity have contacted us for being one of their best fundraisers in this area, and you might have seen some of their tweets about our school. Let’s keep doing all we can for this worthwhile cause.
Phoebe O’Brien from Year 3 is running a bun stall after school on Friday 31st March!
Phoebe is hoping to raise as much money as possible to help buy books, through a community book pledge, for the children & families that are supported by Martins House Hospice in Boston Spa. Phoebe loves books & reading so we are hoping that we can buy lots of books for these amazing children who need that escape from reality a little more than others.
