Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
We provide a secure, caring and supportive environment in which pupils understand the difference between right and wrong, and high standards of behaviour are expected.
Next week’s school target is to remember to always go outside at playtimes.
We have noticed that a number of children are bringing toys into school. We do find that these cause distractions and occasionally disputes, and although we understand that children want to share these during their playtimes we believe that it would be better to keep toys at home. We provide plenty of equipment and games for children to enjoy at outside play, and would appreciate your support in helping to keep toys for home play.
Well done to our Year 5 children who represented our school incredibly well at Young Voices yesterday. We are very proud of them all and hope that they have had an experience that they will remember for ever.
Don’t forget that the consultation event for converting to Academy status will be held at the Methodist Church in Tadcaster on Monday evening. There is still time to send your response to the consultation before the deadline next Friday.
We would like to welcome Miss Ford who is doing her teaching placement in year 5 this term.
We have now received a donation from the organisers of the South Milford Bonfire. £3800 has been paid to our PTA in recognition of all the hard work that we put into the event. Thank you to everyone who contributed – sponsoring the event, helping to set up and clear away, and those who manned the catering stalls. In particular, members of the PTA who helped to lead the event during planning and delivery did an amazing job. The donation is fantastic and will be used to purchase outdoor equipment for our children.
