Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
Governors are supportive, involved and well informed. They are key members of the team.
Next week’s school target is to remember to follow the school rules.
Reception are our top attendees this week with 99%. Fantastic!
Although children don’t tend to play on the school field at this time of year during playtimes, they do go on it regularly during PE lessons. Due to damp conditions it is becoming quite muddy, and children’s PE trainers are getting covered in mud. It would be very helpful if children had a plastic bag to keep footwear in so that they don’t get other PE kit or belongings dirty.
We have reminded children about the need to follow our rules all the time. If they break rules, we will impose sanctions in school and inform you. Whilst we appreciate that there will often be reasons why children behave in a certain way, we expect them to make the correct choice and adults will always support them to resolve problems peacefully and effectively. If they make a poor choice, we expect them to understand that this will lead to consequences and appreciate your support in reinforcing this consistently.
Thank you for all the generous contributions towards Children in Need. We raised a fantastic £547.50 from all the activities we ran, which is a wonderful total – thank you!
Don’t forget that the online awareness meeting for parents is next Wednesday at 6.30pm. This is a very relevant aspect of our children’s lives and hope that many of you are able to attend.
Thank you for the donations towards the raffle and tombola for the Christmas Fayre. We are still collecting items (there is a box in the school entrance), so please keep them coming in.
As you know, attendance at school is very important to us. We understand that it can be very challenging to arrange medical appointments outside school hours but we would encourage all parents to try to do this so that we can minimise the amount of learning time that is lost each week. Thank you.
Please find attached the updated Code of Conduct for Parents. We appreciate that the vast majority of our parents comply with this all the time, but wanted to take the opportunity to remind everyone of our expectations.
We’d like to say a huge ‘Thank You!’ to Mr Davies who has kindly re-mastered our school logo. This was originally designed by a pupil and was only created in a low-resolution copy. Mr Davies has made this high definition so that it can be enlarged to use on larger publications:
