Next week’s school target is to move sensibly and quietly around school.
Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
All staff are highly valued, highly motivated and part of a supportive, professional team.
Year 2 are our top attendees this week with 100%. Fantastic!
We have now finalised our teaching arrangements for next year. We have tried to keep changes to a minimum, and children will be familiar with the teacher they will have. In September, the teachers will be:
o Reception – Mrs Hind (Mrs Elcock in the summer term)
o Year 1 – Mrs Walsh
o Year 2 – Mrs Starr (until November, replacement tbc)
o Year 3 – Mrs Strathearn & Mrs Greenwood
o Year 4 – Mrs Lofthouse (Mrs Williamson Wednesday afternoon)
o Year 5 – Miss Dales (Mrs Williamson on Thursday)
o Year 6 – Mrs Law (Mrs Williamson on Friday)
(Mrs Alderson will be an additional teacher working across different classes at the start of the year.)
We have been alerted to some safety concerns regarding Snapchat. There is a new feature of the App which includes a map feature (Snap Maps) that lets users track other people’s location in real time. It means that friends and other `Snapchaters’ can see where they are and what they are doing. Obviously, this may have some safeguarding implications for children that use the App. If your child has this enabled on a device, we would encourage you to change the settings to `Ghost Mode’ which enables you to hide your location on Snap Maps.
Message from Emilia in Y4 – Thank you to everyone who donated things for the cats and dogs at Ponderosa Rescue Centre. I took it today and had lots of fun meeting the animals, especially the kittens!
