10 of our Year 3 pupils took part in a golf festival this week, along with 60 other children from schools across the STAR Alliance. They had to do a range of skills including chipping, putting and hitting a long distance. Joe ‘Rory’ Alderson certainly needs a mention for hitting the longest distance (the lady in the house five gardens away from the school field says we can have our ball back at the end of the day!!), and Charlie ‘Bubba’ Greer scored fantastically at the chip and putt. All the children did wonderfully well to rise to the variety of challenges. The weather wasn’t the kindest, but we dodged thunderstorms, hail, snow and cold, and kept persevering – all the children were a credit to our school.
