Next week’s school target is continue to show a positive attitude to your learning.
Please take time to talk about our school values with your child – we are committed to partnership working and sector-led school improvement in line with our responsibilities as a National Teaching School.
Welcome back! We have been delighted that the children have all returned to school enthusiastic and full of energy for the term ahead. The two half terms are a bit imbalanced this time, but we are looking forward to cramming as much learning as possible into the coming weeks.
Please note that KS2 test week takes place from 13th May. It is important that children are present every day that week, and that we maintain a quiet and calm environment in order to give our oldest children the best possible opportunities in their statutory tests.
We have noticed a number of birds are nesting in the boxes around school and have asked children to be cautious when playing in these areas to help protect the birds. Our Eco-Warriors would like to put more bird boxes around the site, and we would welcome donations of bird boxes or materials to build boxes that we can put up for next year.
Tuesday 7th May there is a change to the menu, the options will be macaroni cheese with broccoli & sweetcorn, a tuna sandwich or jacket potato.
Now that the nights are lighter we know that children like to play out after school. Please remember that they must not play on the school site after 3.30pm as there is no-one available to supervise them and the gates will be locked out of hours. We have been notified about near-misses that have occurred on the roads close to school, so please talk to your child about road safety if they are walking or playing on bikes unsupervised.
