Friday News 08.02.19

Dear Parents/Carers,

Next week’s school target is remember to follow the playtime routines and use the playground zones correctly.

Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child – we promote Christian values whilst also developing understanding and appreciation of a range of cultures and faiths so that children show respect for the beliefs of others.

Please remember that for safeguarding reasons our gates are locked at 9.00am. All parents should vacate the site before this time. Any late arrivals should use the pedestrian route through the car park

As I am sure you are aware, Mrs Strathearn will return from maternity leave at half term. She is visiting school over the next couple of weeks in preparation for taking back her teaching responsibility in Year 3. Sadly, this means that Miss Sowden will leave us at half term. She has been an asset to our school and we would like to wish her well in the future.

We are going to hold a good condition used uniform stall in the hall on Learning Review Day (13th March)  if you have any uniform to donate that would be greatly appreciated, we already have lots to choose from.  Most items will be around £1 so come and grab yourself a bargain!

A lovely message from the Chair at Monk Fryston Football Club;

As Chair of the football club I just wanted to let you know how proud I am of the kids following an outing to Elland Road yesterday.  Admittedly, not all were from MF school, but despite the Baltic conditions and the poor result, their behaviour was impeccable. I have attached a photo too.
