Friday News 10.11.17

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
We promote mutual respect and tolerance so that adults and children have a good working relationship and engage with British values.

Next week’s school target is to remember to use the playground zone’s correctly.

Year 2 & Year 5 are our top attendees this week with 98.6%. Fantastic!

Thank you to everyone who attended Learning Review meetings. These are important opportunities to discuss your child’s achievement and progress, and to talk about any concerns that you may have about their education. It is important that teachers meet the parents of every child, so if you were unable to attend we would encourage you to make an appointment at your earliest convenience.

Sadly, the PTA Race Night has been postponed – we hope to hold this later in the year. Apologies if anyone had made special plans on this date.

The school Christmas Fayre is on Saturday 2nd December from 12pm – 2pm. We are collecting prizes for the tombola and raffle, and bottles of alcoholic drink for one of the stalls. We would be really grateful if you are able to donate anything; please leave these in the collection boxes in the school entrance.

We are delighted that Monk Fryston CoE Primary School PTA has been chosen for the next round of the Co-op Local Community Fund. The funding round will start on 12 November 2017 and runs for 11 months until the 27 October 2018. Every time members shop at the Co-op, 1% of what they spend on selected own-brand products and services goes to the Co-op Local Community Fund, of which we will receive a share. Please do support us!

Friday 17th November – Children in Need.  Children can wear something spotty for £2 donation.  Bun sale after school, bun donations that morning please.  Also each class are collecting old £1 coins.
