Dear Parents/Carers,
Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
We encourage interest in exploring and improving understanding of local and global communities, enabling children to contribute positively to life in modern Britain.
Next week’s school target is to behave sensibly in the toilets and cloakrooms.
Year 6 are our top attendees this week with 100%. Fantastic!
Thank you to everyone who has brought in a Christingle collection candle for the Children’s Society. Any remaining candles can be brought in at the start of next week and presented at the Christingle on Tuesday. We will add the collections from the nativity productions to our total.
Please ensure that all lost property is claimed by the end of next week. Any remaining on Friday will be recycled.
We are delighted that Mrs Hind will continue to teach in Reception in January. Governors have appointed her to job-share alongside Mrs Elcock – congratulations!
Wednesday is Christmas Dinner Day, children to wear school uniform but they can wear their Christmas jumper/top.
Thursday is party day, children can come to school in party clothes for the day.
Friday is the Christmas singalong at 2.30pm, everyone welcome to join us.
Do remember during the holidays that if your child has become bored with Christmas presents and isn’t able to play outside because of the weather, they could do a little time on My Maths, or do some reading, or practise their tricky spellings. It is important that they keep their skills sharp during the holidays and regular short sessions of the basic skills will set them up well for the new term in January.
Don’t forget that our school doesn’t have a training day in January – the first day back for children is Monday 8th January.
