Friday News 15.6.18
Dear Parents/Carers,
Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
We encourage excellence in both teaching and learning.
Next week’s school target is to remember to always come into lunch quietly.
Please see the attached letter from Mr Weights regarding South Milford Bonfire.
The children have been asked today to choose their lunch for the whole of next week, this will give cook a better idea of numbers and help with ordering the food. They will be asked every Friday for the next week’s lunch choice so could you please discuss this at home beforehand as some children don’t know if they are having school lunches or packed lunches. Thank you.
Every 2 years we conduct a survey of parents to evaluate how well we are performing as a school. We have built up a bank of extremely useful information over the last 6 years, and this has been helpful in determining the activities and opportunities we provide. It is now time to complete the survey again, and your child has brought home a short paper questionnaire for you to fill in. These should be returned by 29th June at the latest, as they need to be posted back to the supplier for marking. Please do take the time to respond, as the results are examined carefully and used by governors to inform strategic planning and set our school priorities. Thank you for your support.
We have noticed that a number of pupils are bringing balls into school for use at playtimes. For safety reasons, we have to limit the number of balls that are used and we would appreciate your support in encouraging your child to only bring balls in when it is their class day on the rota.
Don’t forget that it is Open Classrooms next Wednesday. You are welcome to visit your child’s class between 3.30pm – 5.30pm to look at the work that they have produced this term.
We are delighted that the Bishop of Selby will be visiting our school next Thursday afternoon. He will visit classes, talk to pupils, and join us for collective worship at the end of the day.
The KS2 production will be held on the evenings of 27th and 28th June; admission will be by ticket only, details of which have already been sent home.
The Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly will take place on the afternoon of Friday 29th June.
