Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
Governors are supportive, involved and well informed. They are key members of the team.
Next week’s school target is to remember to be Eco-friendly and don’t waste paper.
Please remember that the school doors open at 8.50am and all pupils need to be in school by 9am. We have noticed that a number of children have been arriving late and they are missing important learning opportunities.
Now that the lights are getting lighter, some families are choosing to play on the playground and field after school. We cannot accept responsibility for any pupils after 3.30pm unless they are attending an organised club, and they must therefore be supervised by a parent or adult at all times. We do not allow children to play with balls after school as this could lead to an accident, and we cannot guarantee access to first aid or emergency response. Thank you for helping us to reinforce these messages with your children.
Come and visit our book fair next week and bring along your World Book Day tokens, only 1 token can be used per book. Children will be given the chance to have a look at the books on Monday morning so may already have a favourite in mind! Tuesday 20th March 3.30pm to 4pm, Weds 21st March 8.15am to 8.45am then 3.30pm to 4pm
Thurs 22nd March 8.15am to 8.45am then 3.30pm to 4pm
We will be helping to raise money for Sport Relief next week. From Monday we will be selling official bracelets for £1 (limited to 1 per child), year 6 children will bring them to the classes. Next Friday, 23rd March, we invite all children to come to school in ‘sporty clothes’ in exchange for a £1 contribution. We will be holding a ‘danceathon’ throughout the morning for all classes. We will also provide the opportunity for children to throw a wet sponge at a member of staff for 50p (we will insist on these being paid for – no freebies!!). Please help us to raise lots of money for a good cause.
Please remember to park safely around school. We have had several complaints about the same parents parking inappropriately, and these have been handed to the police. If you see notice a vehicle that is parked illegally please report it to the police by dialling 101.
Don’t forget to refer to the school calendar for events that are coming up for the rest of the year, including our Sports Day and Leavers assembly.
A couple of parents are collecting unwanted school uniform to sell in early May. If you have any good quality (preferably washed and ironed) school uniform that your children have outgrown, can you please bring it to the school office? They will have a table top sale in the playground with all proceeds going to the school (dates to be organised). Your support is much appreciated. Thank you!
