Dear Parents/Carers,

Next week’s school target is; Please remember to use indoor voices.

Are you in receipt of benefits? If so, you may be able to claim free school meals. Even if your child is younger than 7 and currently gets a free meal, you should still claim as this will entitle them to other additional educational benefits for the next 6 years. Please refer to for further details.

Don’t forget that it is the Beer Festival this weekend. The proceeds from this event go to the Community Association and the school, so please do support it.

The AGM of the PTA is on Tuesday 27th September. This is the meeting that roles for the year will be elected. Please do come along and get involved – anyone with a child at school is eligible to attend. The PTA organises a lot of great fundraising events throughout the year to benefit all children and we are always looking for volunteers.

As you know, the South Milford Bonfire is on Saturday 12th November this year. Please note that this year it will be TICKET ONLY. We will be selling tickets from school soon. We will also be asking for volunteers to help during the weekend, and the more people we can get to help, the more money we will get for our school. Please save the date and look out for the letter which will come out very soon.

We are still collecting food donations for Knottingley Food Bank, if you have anything you would like to donate then please put it in the green crate in the school entrance.

Have you ever considered a career in teaching? If you are a graduate, you could be eligible to train with us. Applications for 2017 will open in October, and places will go fast, so if you may be interested please contact Mr Weights to discuss this in more detail.

Mrs Law will be emailing details of the Macmillan Coffee Afternoon to everyone. We do hope you will be able to support us with this event. Thank you as always for your continued support.
