Friday News 17.01.20

Dear Parents/Carers,

The school target for next week remains the same – to follow school instructions first time.

We have attached our new school values. These have been developed over the last year and are an important expression of our beliefs. They have been structured into a format that will make a booklet when printed out, so please excuse any blank pages that appear on screen. We hope you find them interesting and useful.

Lots of you are enjoying our Facebook/Twitter posts, but could we remind you not to mention children’s names in the comments for Safeguarding reasons.  We do remove any posts that name them.  Thank you.

Please ensure children have outdoor PE kits in school all week, they need joggers, sweatshirt, t-shirt and trainers, don’t forget to name it all.

The following message is from a Mrs Simpson a year 1 parent;

On the 18th April two squads of people from Rugby League All Stars, Life for a Kid and friends are taking on a trek of Ben Nevis to raise funds for Leeds Rhinos and Great Britain Star Rob Burrow who has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease age 37. They are being joined on the trip by two of Rob’s former Leeds and Great Britain team mates Sky commentator Barrie McDermot and retired Leeds Rhinos player Keith Senior family friend to Blossom & Dougie. The aim in addition to completing the trek is to take part in the highest ever game of touch Rugby League on the summit with features by the BBC and Sky Sports News!

I will be taking part in the climb;

My children will also be running a stall after school on 24th January at 3.30pm selling lemonade & cookies, all money raised will be donated to this same cause.
