We would like to congratulate Mrs Chorlton who has recently achieved designation as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). She has completed a training programme and passed an assessment process which identified how she is meeting the nationally agreed standards. Well done!

We have now received the test results for our Year 6 children, and are absolutely delighted with their achievements. 100% met the required standard in the reading, SPAG and maths tests which is an amazing achievement! 97% met the standard in writing, and so our combined reading, writing and maths score is an incredible 97%. We are extremely proud of all our pupils – well done!

Have you seen our new playground benches? These have been bought by our PTA to help improve our playground. Each one has an activity top so that children can play games on them at playtimes, and they are proving really popular. We would like to thank to the PTA for their support

As a result of our document retention policy, school must keep children’s work for one year. Therefore, we are unable to send home school books at the end of term (although we will send home pictures, worksheets and other ad hoc work). We intend returning work from last year once we return in September.

There is a fundraising Golf Day in support of Monk Fryston United, please see attached flyer.
