Friday News 22.02.19
Dear Parents/Carers,
The target for the week commencing 4th March is to make someone’s day.
Please take time to talk about our school values with your child – we promote mutual respect and tolerance so that adults and children have a good working relationship and engage with British values.
At the end of this term, some of our Year 6 pupils will be organising a talent show for the rest of the school. They will be inviting classes to select 2 or 3 acts to put forward for other children to see. This isn’t a competition, but is an opportunity to share the fantastic talents in our school. Unfortunately, due to restrictions on space in the hall parents will not be able to attend, and the show will be for pupils only.
Week commencing 4th March there is a slight change to the menu, Monday 4th March will be the Quorn Keema and Thurs 7th March will be Pasta bolognaise.
Don’t forget that we are inviting children to come to school dressed as their favourite book character to celebrate World Book Day on 7th March. They will be doing reading-related activities during the day.
We will be supporting Comic Relief again this year on 15th March, children can come to school in non uniform for £1 donation, we will be having a bun sale after school so are asking for donations of buns on the day. Red noses will be on sale after half term, they are £1.25 each this year. We will also be recording the children making as much noise as possible and hope to raise some media interest ‘Red Noise Day’.
County Caterers are advertising for a General Kitchen Assistant to work at Monk Fryston School, 13.75 hours per week, term time only, closing date 3rd March 2019, please look on the NYCC website for full details.
