Next week’s school target; Remember to say outside at playtimes.
It is important that children have the right kit for PE in school throughout the week. Please ensure that your child has a plain red tee shirt (no logos other than the school one or large pictures please) and black shorts.
Pupils transferring to Sherburn High School in the summer will once again have a phased induction at the end of the term. Governors have agreed to allocate a number of days when Year 6 pupils can attend Sherburn High during July. We believe that this will allow them to experience transition activities as well as complete their education with us. We have arranged an opportunity for Year 6 parents to talk to Mrs Williams (Head of Sherburn High School) after school on Monday 14th March when questions regarding the transition process can be explored.
We have attached a letter from Sherburn High School with information about their Year 11 GCSE results this year, please take a look.
Would you like to find out more about SPAG? Following the success of the maths evening that we held for parents last year, we have arranged another information evening at 6.30pm on Thursday 4th February about English. This will last for about 1 hour, and we will explore the content of the Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPAG) curriculum, expectations for each year group, and the statutory tests that children will complete in Year 2 and Year 6. Please do come along to find out more.
Tickets can still be purchased via ParentPay for the Bingo & Bellini night on 5th February. Details on the website.
