The target for the week commencing 2 November 2020 is “be present”.
Thank you for supporting us to implement effective social distancing and hygiene methods this term. Despite all the changes we have had to make, our school has felt fairly normal and we know that children are delighted to be back. We are all very pleased with the way that things have gone and (although we are all ready for a break!) are looking forward to things continuing to work successfully next half term.
Hopefully you will have a wonderful, safe, well and happy half-term holidays! However, should your child test positive for Covid-19, it is still absolutely vital that we are informed in order that we can notify pupils and/or staff who may have been in close contact with them. This is especially important in the first few days after school has broken up. Please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org to report a positive case. If your child is self-isolating for 14 days, meaning they cannot return to school on the 2nd November, please also call the office and leave a message or email email@example.com.
Thank you for arranging Learning Review appointments with teachers. We know that these will be very unusual this year, and do ask that you please bear with us. If you have any problems prior to the appointment please let the office know and they will be happy to help. Teachers will be very understanding if anything goes wrong with technology during the appointment and will do their best to help solve problems if they can.
During the first week back, ‘Powerdown Pete’ will be leading workshops for all our children on energy efficiency and sustainability. These are fully risk assessed and will be socially distanced. They will help teach our children about their responsibilities as global citizens and will contribute towards our school energy strategy.
We are having a special bonfire lunch on Thursday 5th November, all children having school dinners w/c 2nd November will be able to have sausage in a roll, chips and beans followed by flapjack.
Photograph proofs are being sent home today, orders to be placed online by 5th November.
