The school target for next week is ‘be kind to everybody’.
Governors have recently agreed the attached uniform policy. You shouldn’t notice much difference as it reflects what we currently do in school, and is in our prospectus. A slight change is that we have introduced warm PE kit in school colours only. We understand many of you will have purchased outdoor PE kit recently, and this can still be worn during this term. However, we ask that when you need to purchase new items, they are in the school colours. You can purchase the outdoor PE kit from any source but just for your information you can order school logo items from Classroom Clothing, Finkle Street, Selby Tel 01757 700577. Current prices are: Red hoodie JH001 with left chest school logo: Sizes 3/4, 5/6, 7/8,9/11 and 12/13 – £12 Red hoodie with no logo – £10. Heather Grey Jogging bottoms SS31B: Sizes 5/6, 7/8,9/11 and 12/13 – £8. Please note that you do not have to purchase from this supplier, and ordinary plain kit from supermarkets or Amazon is entirely acceptable.
During the next couple of weeks the NSPCC will be coming into school to lead assemblies about children keeping themselves safe. They will then do workshops with our older children on another date.
Our Learning Review day will take place on Wednesday 4th March. The school will be closed on this day as it is classed as an INSET day. This gives us the opportunity to talk to you and your child about their learning, and things we can focus upon to support their progress in the coming terms. Children in KS2 will be expected to lead these conversations. Appointments have been released and details sent by email, any problems please contact the office.
We will have a special Easter lunch on 1st April. This is an opportunity for parents to have a school lunch with their children. We will organise this as sittings in alphabetical order so that all children can sit with their parents if they wish.
PTA have organised a Family Movie Night on Friday 20th March. Toy Story 4. Tickets £2 per person available on ParentPay. There will be alcohol available for a donation, soft drinks, sweets & pizza on sale. Please bring a cushion or blanket to sit on. 6pm start.
