Don’t forget that Wednesday 6th July is our whole-school transition day. This is when children will be taught in their new classes by their teacher for next year throughout the whole day. Al our new staff will be in school on that day.
Have you considered training to be a teacher? If you are a graduate and might like to train to teach primary aged children you can do so with us. We will have places available on PGCE accredited courses starting in September 2018. Applications open in October but places go quickly, so you should start to consider your application now. If you would like any further information please do speak to us.
Next year we will start an exciting new project with Google. This will mainly involve children in KS2, but may be expanded as the year progresses. All children will be given free access to Google Apps, including unlimited storage for their files. This will enable them to share work between home and school (Google Apps can be used on any technology from any place with internet access). Children will be allocated a school email address which will be monitored by us and can only be used in line with our agreed acceptable use policy. Further information about this project will be provided in September
ComputerXplorers are looking for people to deliver sessions in the local area. You don’t need to commit to many hours a week, they are flexible, you just need to be enthusiastic about working with children. If you’re interested, or know someone who might be, please contact Andy Parker on 07415 034249.
