We really need a few more parent readers. If you can spare 15 minutes at either end of a school day just once or twice a week to listen to a child read then please let the office know. Thank you to everyone who has put their name forward so far.
We continue to receive complaints about inappropriate parking around our school. Please ensure that you always park in a safe place. Parking enforcement officers will be visiting our school over the coming weeks.
Can you lend a tower scaffold to the South Milford Bonfire? We are trying to find a way to protect the people barbequing from inclement weather, and hope to put the barbecues inside a tower scaffold so that we can put a rain cover over them. If you could lend us one for the weekend of 7th & 8th November (and even better if you could drop it off and pick it up for us!) please let the office know.
Thank you to everyone who helped out and attended the Beer Festival. Once again, this was a really successful event which will have raised significant funding for our school. It is becoming a very firm fixture in our annual calendar.
Thank you to everyone who attended the PTA AGM this week. It was a really good meeting with a clear plan for fundraising this year. A new committee was elected, and wish the office holders every success for the coming year. A huge than you must be extended to the outgoing committee for all their dedication and hard work.
The PTA are organising a school disco on Wednesday 21st October. Further details will be sent home in due course, but please reserve the date in your diary.
Following the success of the archaeological dig at Monk Fryston Hall this year, the Time Team are planning a ‘Big Village Dig’ next year. This will be during the weekend of 2nd & 3rd July 2016 and should prove very exciting – we would encourage everyone to get involved.
