We would like to congratulate Miss Dales who has been promoted to the position of Deputy Headteacher at a primary school in Otley with effect from September. We will be very sad to see her leave, but understand that this is a good career move for her and is closer to her home. Governors are currently in the process of reviewing our staffing structure for September and hope to be able to communicate this with you early in the summer term.
Advance notice that test week in school will be 14th – 18th May. It is important that all children are present throughout that week.
Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Miss Ford last week. She has been teaching our Year 5 pupils as part of her teacher training programme, and has been a real asset to our school. Next term, we welcome back Mrs Cooper-Noble and Mrs Wilkinson who will complete their final teaching placement with us.
Thank you to everyone who helped their children to make Easter gardens. We had some wonderful entries! These have been displayed in church and will remain there during the holidays – please do go in and have a look at them.
We do hope that you have an enjoyable holiday, and children get the opportunity to relax and unwind. If they find themselves at a loose end, why not encourage them to complete an activity on My Maths? Or do a short piece of writing – a story, news report, or diary entry? This doesn’t need to take long, but regular practice will help to keep their skills sharp.
We are pleased to be able to offer a FREE girls football after school club on Thursday nights starting 19th April for children in Reception to Year 6. If you would like a place copy and paste the link below into your browser to sign up. Any problems please contact the office.
