Friday News 29.9.17
Dear Parents/Carers,
Next week’s school target is to remember to be a good friend to everyone.
Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
We respect others, ensuring that every child has the right to learn and every teacher has the right to teach.
Year 6 are our top attendees this week with 98.9%. Fantastic!
Next week is the start of the jacket potato option. If your child doesn’t currently have school lunches but enjoys a jacket potato why not try school lunches next week. There will be an option of tuna, cheese or beans toppings each day. Your child just needs to tell their teacher they would like a jacket potato when they are taking the lunch register. They will come home with a coloured band so you know which lunch option they chose, orange band means jacket potato, purple band means the meal of the day. Please do cut these bands off when they get home to save any confusion the following day!
Harvest Service in Church, Monday 2nd Oct at 9.30am. Could children please bring donations of food (tinned/fresh or dried) that they can manage to carry to Church, all donations will be given to Knottingley Food Bank. Tinned or dried items have a longer shelf life and are very much appreciated. Thank you for your support.
Please return your voting slips for the Parent Governor Election before Friday 6th October.
Would your family like to win free tickets to the South Milford bonfire? To help celebrate the 25th Anniversary, the organisers are holding an art competition for children. Entries of pictures celebrating the theme: ’25 years of the bonfire’ can be done using any media on A4 paper. They should have the child’s full name and age on the back and can be submitted through class teachers by Friday 13th October.
