Next week’s school target is – Walk round school calmly and quietly.
Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
All staff are highly valued, highly motivated and part of a supportive, professional team.
Our top attendees this week are Year 2 with 100% attendance. Well done!
As you will be aware, we were visited by a team of headteachers earlier this week. They were looking at the work of our school to help governors to evaluate what we do. We were delighted that they agreed with our judgements, and that the school continues to be highly performing. They felt it was best summed up by a Reception pupil who said, “It’s awesome!”
We now have a ‘Lifevac’ in school which can be used when administering first aid in the event of choking. We are really grateful to the parents who purchased this for us – thank you!
As you will know, it was World Book Day yesterday. Your child should have brought home their book token. We decided not to dress up this year, but children have been doing lots of activities about reading and we may have a themed day later in the year linked to our Erasmus reading project.
William Lonsdale raised £42.50 from the sale of his cat and kitten magnets and badges and lucky dip, for the Caring for Cats Yorkshire and the Humber cat rescue centre. Thank you to everyone who supported him.
The famous PTA Quiz night is happening once again! Friday 24th March at 7pm. Tickets are £6 and can be purchased on ParentPay, this price includes a pie and peas supper. There will be beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks available to purchase on the night. Limited tickets available.
A letter was emailed out to everyone earlier today regarding the Mother’s Day Lunch on Friday 24th March. Please book via ParentPay by Sunday 12th March.
Red noses will be on sale next week ready for Comic Relief. The year 6 children will be bringing them round to the classrooms every day. If your child would like to purchase one please send £1 in a named envelope with ‘red nose’ and your child’s name and year group written on the front.
We have LOTS of unclaimed uniform in lost property, one of our parents very kindly sorts it out each Friday and returns named items to their rightful owner but lots of it is still unnamed and unclaimed. Anything that is still there next Friday (10th March) will be removed. Please have a look and see if any of it belongs to you, but please make sure names are in all items of uniform to avoid this in the future.
