Please take time to talk about our school values for next week with your child.
We are committed to partnership working and sector-led school improvement in line with our responsibilities as a National Teaching School.
Next week’s school target is to remember to be responsible for your own belongings.
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help at Sports Day. WE REALLY NEED MORE HELP!

From 4th June we will be offering children the choice of a baguette at lunchtime along with the daily vegetables, salad bar & dessert. This is a trial and we will review it after 3 weeks. We will offer the fillings on set days – Monday tuna, Tuesday egg, Wednesday cheese, Thursday ham, Friday chicken.
We are delighted that children in Years 4 – 6 are receiving lessons in the Game Of Actual Life (GOAL). We also have some children who attend the GOAL club after school. This deals with financial awareness and ‘real life’ issues. We are delighted that we have been able to bring this programme into school with the aid of a grant from the National Lottery.
You will have heard in the news that there is a new data protection regulation coming into force this month – the GDPR. We take data protection very seriously in school and already have robust procedures in place to safeguard information about your children. We will never share information without your specific permission. Please do not be offended if teachers are unable to discuss other children with you; this is to protect their rights and confidentiality.
Congratulations to the team of Year 3 children who attended the golf festival yesterday. Not only did they represent our school extremely well, but they also came in first place – well done! They will now progress to the area final.
Now that the warmer weather is arriving, children have begun to discard coats and jumpers according to the conditions. This has meant that we are accumulating a significant amount of lost property. You can help us by reminding your child to always look after all their belongings and making sure everything they have is clearly named so it can be returned to them. Thank you.
We are due to receive a visit from a diocese inspector this term who will judge our school against the SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) framework. This isn’t Ofsted, but is a statutory inspection to see how well we are doing as a church school. Once we have the outcome of an inspection we will, of course, share it with you.
