Last week, the government passed a new legal duty on schools to set distance learning for children who are unable to be in school. Whilst this is primarily aimed at those needing to self-isolate due to Covid-19, our teachers will continue to apply the same principle to pupils absent for more than 2 days by setting work for them in Google Classrooms. In this way we hope that all children will be able to maintain good progress throughout the year. If pupils are particularly ill and unable to complete work, we will obviously understand this, but our usual expectation will be that they should complete work whilst at home.
Thank you to everyone who participated in Walk to School Week. If you forgot or didn’t manage it, why not try it next week instead? We know that some of our older children formed a ‘walking bus’ which seemed to be a good way to come to school together with their friends.
Don’t forget to sign up for the PTA Halloween Craft competition on ParentPay.
The children looked great today in their yellow attire! #HelloYellow. Thank you for all your donations, so far we have raised £306. All proceeds going to Young Minds.
