The shocking terrorist incidents that have occurred in recent weeks have affected all of us. Whilst most children do not appear unduly upset, we appreciate that some issues may have arisen at home. If your child is worried in any way, guidance for parents is available on the NSPCC website. https://www.nspcc.org.uk/what-we-do/news-opinion/supporting-children-worried-about-terrorism/ or the BBC: How to talk to children about terrorist attacks: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-40011787
You probably know that our school is one of the main organisers of the South Milford Bonfire, and that our PTA receives about £4000 each year as a result. We ask individuals and local businesses to take out an advert that is published in the ticket brochure and on the event website. The proceeds of this go to the organising groups including our school. In return for sponsorship firms also receive a number of free tickets to the event. Several packages are available, at quite little cost. If you are interested, or could help us to locate sponsorship elsewhere, we would be very grateful. Please speak to Mr Weights for more information.
Massive thanks to everyone for supporting Y5’s Plantopia business enterprise. We are delighted to have made £250.00 profit and will soon be deciding how to put it to good use. We hope your gardens are looking lovely.
Message from Guides – The Guides were really touched by the horrific Manchester Bomb attack and wanted to somehow show their support and raise funds for the victims. Unfortunately we aren’t able to put on a stunning concert so the Guides will be selling sweet treats for 50p a bag afters school on Tuesday. Please show your support.
