KS1 dressed up as animals and KS2 came in their pyjamas. They did book-related activities all day and produced some amazing work. You can see photos of some of their outfits in our gallery page.

We were delighted that Hilary Robinson, the published author of a number of well-known children’s books, talked to our children about being an author. She shared her latest book ‘Where the Poppies Now Grow’, and then cut the ribbon to open our new library. We had a wonderful cake made in the shape of books that was enjoyed by members of the PTA, Governing Body, and members of the community who had helped to raise funding and organise our new resource. We hope that this helps to encourage our children to read and develop a genuine love for books – and are sure that it will!
