Congratulations to one of our Year 5 pupils, who has received the Governor Award for the Spring term. This is awarded to the pupil who has best enacted the ethos and values of our school. The winner has not only applied herself fully to her remote learning following lockdown in January, but has demonstrated an excellent attitude towards all things at school. She consistently goes above and beyond in all tasks set and is a fantastic asset to our school. She is an excellent role model and worthy winner, and was presented the award by Mrs Law this morning.

Congratulations to four of our Year 6 pupils who have received the Governor Award for the Spring term. This is awarded to the pupils who have best enacted the ethos and values of our school. These pupils received it for their Awareness Week project. Mr Sheppard presented their award at an assembly earlier this week.

Congratulations to a pupil in our Year 4 class who won the Governor Award this term. Governors make the award to a pupil who has visibly enacted the school’s aims and ethos. The Chair of Governors, Mr Sheppard joined the Easter Service at St Wilfrids church this morning to present the award.

“Hello

I’m Nick Sheppard and I have recently become Chair of the Governors here at Monk Fryston School.

Whilst I’ll introduce myself in a bit more detail in the future, I wanted to take this opportunity on behalf of the Governors to thank you for your feedback about the school and to share with you, as Mr Weights mentioned in his email last week, a more detailed summary of what the results of the survey told us, and what we are doing in response to those results.

Your feedback, as a vital part of the school community, is very important to us in enabling us to make informed decisions around the school; I hope you find the information [attached] helpful and informative. If you weren’t able to reply this time, we will repeat this in the future.
