The visit served to cement their learning about the Islamic faith, customs and way of life. Their guide, Fatima, was super-impressed with their knowledge, understanding and genuine respect. After a guided tour of the mosque, the children all took a place in the prayer hall and discussed, not only the differences between Islam and Christianity, but the many similarities. Everyone agreed it was a really worthwhile, enjoyable trip.

This work can be seen on display in the KS2 corridor. They have all put together interesting presentations about famous black people, showing genuine care and thoughtfulness in their work. They should be very proud of their achievements – because we are! Do have a look at the information they have created during Open Classrooms on Wednesday.
