Our Vision and Values
This is our school, where a child’s learning story begins. We all take ownership and share a collective responsibility to love and care for everyone here.
We will be better and stronger, because we are working together in our quest to do and be our best.
(Romans 8:28 – 28 We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.)
Our Aim:
Across our federation we have a single aim: to develop ‘Good people, doing well‘ (This is inspired by the book of Titus which says, “Titus 3:14 – Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives.”)
Our Motto:
Look up, aim high!
(2 Corinthians 13:11 – Strive for perfection; listen to my appeals; agree with one another; live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.)
Our Values:
We have rooted each values statement in a biblical context in line with our Church foundation, and tried to articulate them in statements that are concise and memorable. To help children to remember these, each statement has been associated with an illustration or quote from a book and these are displayed around our school.
We have structured the statements as a story sequence. When a child starts in our school, their learning story begins and we develop the values as ‘chapters’ throughout their school life.
We aim for everybody to show respect and care for others, and experience high levels of success and happiness.

Romans 12:10-11 – 10 Love one another warmly as Christians, and be eager to show respect for one another. 11 Work hard and do not be lazy. Serve the Lord with a heart full of devotion.
|
We value success and achievement, in the basic skills and the wider curriculum, so that everyone here is ready for lifelong learning.
|
Ecclesiastes 10:10 – 10If the iron is blunt, and one does not sharpen the edge, he must use more strength, but wisdom helps one to succeed. |
There are good relationships in our school; everyone is loved, confident, valued and appreciated.
|
Philippians 2:4-5 – 4 And look out for one another’s interests, not just for your own. 5 The attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus had. |
We believe that empathy, good manners, respect, care for others and moral values are crucial for success.
|
Luke 6:31 – 31 Do for others just what you want them to do for you. |
We value resilience, and ensure everyone is supported to become independent and wise.
|
1 Corinthians 15:58 – 58 So then, my dear friends, stand firm and steady. Keep busy always in your work for the Lord, since you know that nothing you do in the Lord’s service is ever useless. |
We believe that everyone has the right to be included, safe and happy in our school.
|
Luke 10:27 – 27 The man answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind’; and ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.’” |
We value enjoyment, so we make learning fun.
|
1 Timothy 6:17-19 – 17 Command those who are rich in the things of this life not to be proud, but to place their hope, not in such an uncertain thing as riches, but in God, who generously gives us everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share with others. 19 In this way they will store up for themselves a treasure which will be a solid foundation for the future. And then they will be able to win the life which is true life. |
We created a booklet showing our values and illustrations:
Final Values booklet for parents (Please note that the order of pages has been designed so that this can be printed out as a booklet)
Our School Prayer:
Lord, This is our school:
A place where we learn and always do our best.
Help us to love and care for everyone here;
To help, to comfort, to be a friend.
Amen
