We are a Music Mark school

We are delighted to have been awarded the Music Mark in recognition for our commitment to providing high-quality music provision.

As a Music Mark school, we are part of a wide network of excellent providers.

Music Mark members are leaders in music education and collectively form a national network of organisations and individuals providing high-quality music education for all children and young people. The membership comprises of music services, the lead organisations of music education hubs, music education organisations, schools and individuals working or studying in music education.

Through the collective strength of our membership, we are able to develop networks and resources that help the sector to support children and young people in their social and musical development.

Music Mark members recognise that music has a value in and of itself. The pursuit of learning to sing, play an instrument, compose and listen critically are valuable in their own right. Members also promote the many other benefits of music education including:

• enabling increased behaviours for learning
• boosting children and young people’s social development
• fostering team work
• building life skills
• encouraging creativity and critical engagement
