Goodbye Padre John!

This week we were sad to say goodbye to Padre John Hetherington, who is retiring as Rector of our parish. Padre John has been a strong supporter of our school over the last 10 years and has done a great deal of work behind the scenes for us, as well as leading collective worship and church services.
The children presented Padre John with cards that they had made during an assembly. The Monk Fryston Education Foundation has kindly purchased a legacy gift for the school to mark Padre John’s retirement. ‘The Big Frieze’ is a large picture depicting all the stories in the bible, and is on display in our library.
