Y6 London Visit Jan 2020

The Year 6s had a fantastic day in London, where they visited the Houses of Parliament and the Natural History Museum. They enjoyed seeing parliament in action: visiting the spectators’ galleries in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords; taking part in a workshop where they learnt more about the plight of the Suffragettes and discovering that they can become involved in politics before the age of 18. At the NHM, among other things, they saw Mary Anning’s ichthyosaur fossil – this helped them gain an insight into life many years ago and appreciate how we can use fossils to learn how more about living things throughout history. We were incredibly proud of everyone and all thoroughly enjoyed the day.
