Some of our Year 6s attended the invaluable safety awareness course at Askham Bryan College last Wednesday hosted by the Crucial Crew. The numerous workshops highlighted the everyday dangers which our children may find themselves exposed to as they become more independent. The aim of the event was to ensure that the children can enjoy and achieve, whilst staying safe. Workshops included: rail safety, safety in the home, fire safety, internet safety, anti-social behaviour, first aid procedures and many more. It was a really worthwhile and timely trip, as it coincides with the forthcoming summer holidays when our children may be out playing out more and more.
